MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN:
On behalf of the Pm Gatundu South Youth Foundation fraternity, I wish to thank all our partners and stakeholders who in one way or another have worked with us closely since its inception. It is this gesture of goodwill that have made it possible to reach this far and more so reaching out to many youth in Gatundu south constituency and Kenya at large.
The youth of this great constituency have for a long time been waiting for an organization that will bring together all youth from all parts of the constituency and other parts of Kenya and that will lay down effective structures on handling and dealing with issues that affect them.
This dream has finally become a reality we are indeed grateful .The establishment of the Foundation is however expected to come with a lot of expectations from the community and other stakeholders. It is desired that the Foundation will assist in identifying problems affecting the youth and bringing this to the attention of the relevant authorities.
I am pleased to note that the foundation has very determined officials who have been elected by youth themselves from every ward in Gatundu south.
In addition, Pm Gatundu South Youth Foundation will provide the necessary administrative leadership to ensure that the foundation actualizes these aspirations.
To guide attainment of its objectives, the Foundation has ventured a lot in research on issues affecting youth in the whole world so issues affecting youth in the whole world so as to enable us deal with issues here more effectively for the benefit of all Kenyans.
In order to address the challenges confronting our society legitimately, the Foundation has re-defined its goals and strategic direction as well as benchmark best practices from international, regional and local stakeholders in order to capture the essence and ideal characteristic of a developmental and entrepreneurial youth organization of this century.
Our main project that we would like to pursue is establishment of an animal feeds manufacturing industry in our constituency with an estimated capital of about Ksh 6.5 million. Out of this budget Ksh 2,000,000 will be contributions from youth members (10,000 members each Ksh 200 registration fee). The balance of Ksh 4.5 million will be donations and contributions from the government and other well-wishers from Kenya and outside Kenya.
On the other hand we will work hand in hand with the NGO’s and Government agencies in dealing with issues concerning youth such as drugs abuse, insecurity, HIV/AIDs and others.
As the Chairman I am committed to making it real for the members of the Foundation and to all Kenyan youth. And I understand that it is not possible to go far alone but we need to give every one a chance in making a difference to the life of every young person.
To become a member of the Foundation we world encourage youth to send their full names, Identification number, date of birth, District of birth, County name, Gender, Email address, Telephone number, Last school attended and Ksh200 as commitment to the policies and rules of the Foundation. All details should be sent to the Foundation Treasurer Mr Martin Kimani Tel no. 0723 109 228 Or Chairman Mr Paul .K.Mwangi (PM) 0726 785 152
